For years I have heard how people won’t use self scan machines as they take people’s jobs away but let me ask you this…when was the last time someone got sacked due the addition of theses machines? The answer…NEVER!
Believe it or not these machines create jobs…think about it. Who’s going to install them? Who’s going to fix them (as they break often)? Who will work as IT support to ask for help? Lots of new roles will be created with the increase in technology.
Self scan machines are their as an aide to help you get through your shopping trip quicker. Some people also don’t want to talk to staff on their trip and want to be in and out. The self scans actually help your shopping experience.
So the next time you think ‘Someone’s losing their job’, remember that’s not true and in actuality creates more jobs!
