How to check iCloud storage space?

Let’s check if you have enough iCloud storage for a backup before updating your iPhone.

🔹 How to Check iCloud Storage

1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
2. Tap your Apple ID name at the top.
3. Tap iCloud.
4. At the top, you’ll see a bar graph showing how much storage is used and how much is available.
   • Tap Manage Account Storage (or Manage Storage) to see what’s taking up space.

🔹 If You Don’t Have Enough Space

• Option 1: Free up space
  • Delete old backups from devices you no longer use (Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups).
  • Remove large files, photos, or videos you don’t need.
  • Turn off iCloud backup for apps you don’t care about (inside the Manage Storage menu).
• Option 2: Upgrade iCloud storage
  • Tap Change Storage Plan under iCloud settings.
  • Plans start at 50GB (about $0.99/month), which is usually enough for iPhone backups.

✅ Once you confirm you have enough iCloud space, you can safely do an iCloud backup before updating.
