How to update Microsoft Windows

🔄 Update via Settings

1. Open Settings
   • Press Win + I (Windows key + I)
   • Or click Start → Settings (⚙️)
2. Go to Update Section
   • Windows 10: Update & Security → Windows Update
   • Windows 11: Windows Update in the left sidebar
3. Check for updates
   • Click Check for updates
   • Windows will search, download, and install available updates automatically
4. Restart if needed
   • If an update requires a restart, you’ll see a Restart now button

⚙️ Advanced Options

• Pause updates – You can pause updates for up to 35 days
• Change active hours – Set when Windows shouldn’t restart automatically
• Optional updates – Includes drivers and feature packs

🖥️ Update manually (if needed)

If automatic updates don’t work:

1. Go to the Microsoft Update Catalog
2. Search for the KB number of the update you need
3. Download and install it manually
